A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Oh and Ethel Jrs daughter is now broody. She is a good broody and doesn't try bite me and isn't overly "hissy" lol. She had three of her own eggs. Ethel Jr on the other hand full on attacked me today when I was under the poop board getting her daughter... Just an FYI. Under a poopboard is the worst spot one could be when dealing with a jerk turkey hen.... Very hard to defend yourself...

I just transferred the BB's,ducks and a couple others OUT of their respective brooders. Threw together a decent little holding pen that should be good for another month. I got Lucky,my younger son came up just about the time went down from getting overheated. Two prior heatstrokes. I can't take the heat and humidity. He got me in the house rehydrated and cooled down. Gonna catch a major butt chewing from the DW when she gets home.Holm my stupid birds still haven't hatched anything!! Yours are so cute!!

JR hardest thing for us to accept is that we aren't 20 something anymore. Heat plays its toll and we're not as resilient anymore. My grandfather was right... Youth is wasted on the young. We aught to be born old and grow younger.

Ralph,my Ridgeback had to be taught strenuously to tolerate my chickens. He never even bats an eye at the turkeys ,even when they invade his doghouse .Brave birds. He has decide to draw the line with the ducks. If he sees one,its nothing but teeth and growling!!
