A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Cute bug eyed babies Rjohns!
Danielley.....they are sweet! And make such great pets!
Fire Ant...get some turkeys! You won't regret it! My favorite way to relieve stress after work...sitting outside with a sleeping turkey in my lap....and listening to the St. Louis Cardinals winning a game on the radio.
Yes they are!! I raised these two from babies I got them on Valentine's Day from my grandpas hatchery actually, and now they are about five months old, they've known me their whole life and trust me and love attention and to spend time with me :)

lol, they are very cute!
and supposedly personable!
Very personable. Though my Toms would never suffer the indignity of lapping, its funny that when I do carry one, he puts his head over my shoulder and falls asleep. My hens are unpredictable. Some days, all they want is lap time, others not so much, and some days they even don't want to be petted. But my black and two of my nari's are pretty much attention hogs.:clap:old

First,
Ralphie I am sorry about the duck in the photo, I was taking its picture for its potential new home

So, these are the two turkeys I had asked about previously (royal palm and bourbon red parents possibly)
What do we think they will look like as adults? They are about 5 was old now

You have the same thing going on as my poults. Bourbon red x Royal Palm (in my case, blue Palm), and all the poults should be the same, but some of them have different wing markings coming in. I can see it in your poults too. See how the closer one has striped wings, but the farther one has more of a white color wing?

I've been trying to find out if it's possible for a bourbon red to carry some other gene like maybe narri.

A Bourbon Red tom can carry a hidden recessive Narragansett color gene (bb rr Nn). Because the Narragansett (n) color gene is a sex linked gene, a Bourbon Red hen cannot have a hidden recessive Narragansett color gene. If that gene were present, she would be a Bourbon Buff (bb rr n-) and not a Bourbon Red (bb rr N-).
