Note where the "lump" ends to the rear. If it goes further back between his legs, I would consider culling him. I think that is ascites, which simply a build up of fluid from a poor heart.

It is the same thing the CX chicks get when they grow too fast, Is he BB at all, they have more problems with that than the heritage breeds. It does not ruin the meat if you do cull it.

All that said, he just does not look big enough to have ascites.

Ok so I'm fairly certain it's pendulous crop. Anyone know if it's fatal or just a nuisance? He's eating and drinking just moves a bit slower than normal and doesn't wanna be bothered. Gonna try wrapping sort of loosly with ace wrap to help support it

Birds don't have diaphragms, so be very careful about wrapping anything around their chest cavities, because they have to be able to expand their chests to breathe. The Birdy bras look like angled chest plates made of cloth, tied on the back so as not to impede breathing.

My supervisory detail... They're making sure I build it right.

Don't tell them... The chickens are moving in tonight.:bun

Snoopervisors seems like a good name for them. When I first got my turkeys, I immediately started calling them Lurkeys. My husband wondered why. Now he gets it!
