I prefer my scalder up on blocks too, but DW won't help if I do that, so I bend.![]()
She helps you????
Really?
Would you mind swapping wive's?
My DH helps by standing around like a sad puppy while I'm plucking birds until I hand him a naked one to take inside to mom so she can gut it.
Some one told me I should try to trade her for 2-30s or 3- 20s....Can you imagine all the work that would be ti get them trained??? My goodness! That will never happen..

I wouldn't even want to imagine it...
Funny. Chickens, we all have assigned stations, but turkeys are a bit more work.
I love my plucker too. Very few pin feathers—but I still get a few of the ink shafts or what ever you call them.![]()
fetherman pro... can do six CX or 1-2 turkeys. I had very few (2-3 per bird), but you have to pull them with tweeters and if they break, they stain the skin. What kind do you have? I have no pin feathers or those ink ones when I am done. It takes about 20 seconds a spin and that's for 2 chickens. I can only do one toad at a time and the turkeys are too big for it.
Sometimes I'm a little dense... Why didn't I think of that?I did a nari that dressed out at 17Lbs 7 oz in my yardbird last wednesday ...no feet, but still had the neck on(taking that off next time) had to stop the machine and flip him a few times, but it was still less than 3 min

It's always the head and feet that get caught in the plucker. Next time I process I'll remove them first.Great minds think alike on leg removal!
