I just put one egg in my bator and plan on putting as my as my 3 hens lay in maybe 60 lol. I forgot how many days it takes? at 99.5 deg?
last year I hatched 6 from my daughter. Now I have her hen.
I ran 45% humidity till hatch and went to 75 to 80% at hatch and all hatched .

I don't which hen laid it but I got my first turkey egg tonight.

Was in the pen with my 7 bourbons.

I got my first turkey eggs ever yesterday!! Not only did I get 1 egg, I got 2 turkey eggs from 2 turkey hens!!

Mine are not laying very often, a egg every 3 or 4 days at this point.

Mine seem to be nearing the end of their first cycle. And several are going broody. Mind you, there are two stuffed in the tote nest, and two wedged into chicken nest boxes, all four are going broody, the stinkers.

about how long do they lay before going broody.. I know every hen is different.. just trying to get an idea.. She just laid her first egg ever, so I hope to be a ways off before she goes broody

Broody seems to be an individual decision. One I wish they would make during early summer/late spring, like late April/early May.
