A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

If I feel the need to open my cabinet hatcher during hatching, I have a spray bottle of warm water that I use to spray inside the hatcher. It greatly decreases the amount of time for the humidity to return to the set point. Just don't spray the water on the eggs.

I have done that too, but I still find resisting opening the door is best.

It was mostly quiet when i went up to milk my gracie this mornin... cept for the bibbin doin his katterwallin cause i am just the meanest person ever for not givin him to his maman straight away when he heard my voice. Kinda weird. But it was also kinda nice to not need be on the lookout for mr jerkface meanie too. Sigh. Now to go clean out the beddin in the stalls so it can dry out good in there and be ready for spring and summer. Ahhhh a fresh clean barn is in my future lol! But i could also be quite content readin my new quiltin book and startin a new quilt today since i finished a top yesterday. Maybe it will finally rain this afternoon amd i can get that done.

yeah I did miss the jerks I put in the freezer, but it was so nice to not watch my back

I have 4 poults a chicken hatched and they are good
3/4 hatched in the incubator, but the one that picked the wrong end died, no surprise
but the first one to hatch was doing so good and was dead this morning :hit
The two that died were yellow, so I have 3 yellow and 2 chipmunk/brown alive.

but that is why I set too many eggs to get a couple more hens and one person to have turkey dinners:celebrate
I need more than 1 hen for 2 boys.. a backwards trio.
I have 2 chickens sitting on 6 turkey eggs each so hopefully I'll get some more out of them.

When I first saw her she was in the driveway. Then she flew over the house and down into the field. She then went into the neighbor's field. When I came back out to move the water, the Sweetgrass tom was showing off for her.

little hussy
were you the one that had a wild hen bring chicks by yearly?

Pretty! My tom’s tail looks like garbage right now... the guinea and other tom (now in the freezer) always pecked up his tail so now I wait until he molts for him to look pretty again. It’s like a kid getting a bad bangs haircut...
