A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Speaking of dramatic. Standing out front. Talking with a cluster of neighbors. Daisy & Annie grazing a yard away when they realized I had drifted further from them than they liked. Daisy did twirling touch and goes & Annie ran toward us flapping. The neighbors gave Daisy a "10" for creativity and Annie a " 10" for effort. So the girls joined the neighborhood clutch. Daisy of course stood there trying to understand what we were talking about while Annie untied tennis shoe laces. So grateful for understanding neighbors.

We had 40° and drizzle today for trick or treat. Thankfully the rain held off during trick or treat. If it can only hold off another hour or so till the matching done with the parades it'll be good. They had to dress as pirates for band and were playing the pirates the Caribbean theme. My daughter was a nerd lol

Kids are getting big Aurora! Geez! Our trick or treat is Wednesday. 60% chance of rain, darn it! I loved Halloween as a kid.
Had a nice long stroll. Girls got their fill of cracked acorns. Some weird weed that sprung up and they devoured. And to top it off Daisy ate two mosquitoes that landed on me. Got to 78 today. The mosquitoes took no time to hatch. No one out & about...it was lovely. They are both looking fat & fluffy now that the bulk of their feathers are in.

Well, come spring, I have to make some choices. I need to figure out what breeds I want to keep going forward. I lost my RP Tom and a Black Tom last week while I was out of town. Suspect coyote. As a result, we started forcing them into shelters at night. Last night one of my BR Toms managed to get his head out of the shelter by pushing the wire hard enough for the staples to pull, but then got stuck... Too tempting a target for the coons. Ok, no turkeys in that shelter going forward and spent the day fixing the wire. I've told myself a dozen times no more RPs... They have a hard time here, but they are wonderful eye candy. At one point, I was going to drop the blacks and RPs and just focus on Nari and BRs. I still have issues with the wilds flirting with my boys. What are your thoughts?

Get Sweetgrass.

Ok, got a question... My neighbor/friend got Midget whites. We all know they are extinct. If someone went through the trouble to re-create the breed through selective breeding. Is it truly extinct or is it real? I'd love to hear thoughts...
