Everyone busy being secret Santa for their turkeys? Are you out filling their stockings with BOSS? Are you out reading The Night Before Christmas at their bedtime? Where is everybody? Figuring everyone is busy with holiday preparations.
Rain on the way today. Lots of it...yet again. At least it's going to be fairly warm. As long as we can avoid an ice storm....I dont mind....much.
Took the girls for a stroll yesterday evening. Not many neighbors about. They spent the whole time grazing on baby clover & some odd weed that popped up. My neighbors must wonder why I have pristine plant beds, yet let the weeds procreate in my lawn. Luckily neighbors on either side dont use chemicals on their lawns either. So the girls have a good range to graze. It's also interesting to see how many weeds pop up this time of year. Provides a nice buffet for the girls. And of course....they are still eating acorns. Once I step on them!

Oh....still no eggs. Maybe they are planning a Christmas surprise for me....

Out early with the dogs. Barred owls really chatting it up this morning.

We're basically done with all the Christmas prep here. The kids stuff has all been done and wrapped for over a week now and same with all the extended family's stuff. We just need to pick up a gift card for the mailman and one for my son's piano teacher.

We've been busy here with car stuff, nonstop this week. Sunday, we had someone come look at my old car to maybe buy it. Monday, hubby's car went in for an oil change. Tuesday, my newer car went in for an oil change and we drove my old car to another town to sell it. Came back and found that my newer car needs a few repairs (expected). Dropped it back off yesterday and didn't get it back yet. Hopefully today.

Turkeys and chickens are laying good though lol. I just moved 9 young silkies out to the main coop this morning. Supposedly it's supposed to be warmer over the past couple days so I figured it was the best time to get them out.

Aurora....when are you changing out the girls saddles to little Mrs. Claus saddles. I can see them in fuzzy white trimmed red velvet!! I need to order some holiday specific saddles one day!! Daisy still wants a lavender tulle tutu. It would be cute to wear at all these kids birthday parties. She still gets requests to attend the kids parties. We usually go for a few minutes. Just need to keep her away from the food table.

You know....now that I think about it...she gets invited to more parties that I do. Gee...that's kind of sad!

Eventually, I do need to make some holiday specific saddles, that would be awesome! The girls would look great in Mrs Clause saddles. I would have to make big Santa ones too for the boys! And hats! Lol
