Get him down on his side and straddle him. Hold his legs together with one hand while you clip toenails with the other hand.

Today's visitor. We had a face to face encounter at about a 4' to 5' distance.

It just looked at me as if to say "Why are you disturbing my sleep?"

Baldy is still alive but seems to spend too much time playing turtle on a fence post...

I doubt it will make it. But I am giving it a chance by forcing it to drink and at least look at the feed. The other 4 are running and playing with the chicks.

R2elk....that's an amazing photo! Was he eyeballing your fowl....or taking a nap? They can be hard to spot if just sitting in a tree.

I have a pair nesting in the woods to the west. I have found a mink head, rabbit head under a tree by the poultry yard they use at night. The rabbit body was on top of some hazelnut bushes under another tree. They need to keep their grip

It had been napping. I have never had a Great Horned Owl bother any of the poultry during the daytime.
