2 a day! Over achievers! Mine are still slacking.
They ate their weight on our stroll tonight. Had a gaggle of little girls come to visit. So cute....the ring leader asked if they could get hen hugs! The girls obliged. Happy giggley girls decided they need to to paint their toenails! Kids are so cute with turkeys!

And the Guinea owner build a palace for the two hooligans! Boy it's nice! Doubt the two knuckleheads will appreciate it. I'm betting the first time he let's them out they will be on the run again! Maybe he'll get frustrated and I can buy his coop!!

Does he have bars on the doors and windows? The bars would make the guineas seem right at home...

No....but he used hardware cloth on the whole thing. That's after we convinced him chicken wire was useless. He didn't believe we had raccoons in the neighborhood. Told him I can show him the two in my freezer that the coonhound killed in my yard!

I have the cheaters in strategic spots around the house.... do you think I remember to put then on..... no I keep squinting and putting things under a light before I think of picking them up.

I do the same thing... and if I don’t see the crack it must be a good egg, right?

The dollar store is my optometrist.

My mom does the same thing. She has to wear cheaters on a chain when she's working. She reminds me of a librarian. I wish my glasses were cheap, but I'm nearsighted. At least I don't need them for reading, just anything beyond across the room.

Looks like a sunny weekend ahead. It will be in the 50's. All good! Maybe I can get some stuff done outside without rain cutting my ambitions short. The girls are always up to supervising all outdoor activities. They'll enjoy "helping". Yep, its usually wing to elbow when I'm working in the gardens. They can't help themselves. There is the tool inspections. Each tool undergoes a complete review. Always fun when I'm weeding to have them beak through the weed bin & strew the weeds around the yard. Then there is raking debris into piles. They will have to scratch through each pile. So they can be pesky, but I do enjoy their company.

My son is stuck home today since roads are closed, so I told him to check the streets in town. I only go as far as main Street, which is two blocks from home and I have people calling me asking if they can get into town. I thought it would give him something to do, but I specifically said, "do not try to drive through any drifts!"

They never listen.

.. of course, the younguns are never into listening to elders...


It looks cloudy there.. it is clear here. I plan to let the boys wander outside today.. I allowed them out yesterday but none of them took up the offer.

It's beautiful here today! Most of the snow is melted away (were supposed to get more tonight though). But we out collecting sticks from the yard and dumping them in the fire pit. We're going to have over heck of a bon fire once we actually burn them up! It felt great to be out in yard with a t-shirt and no coat. The flock is loving it too. Geese are playing in the puddles from the snow and the silkies are all sun bathing. The quail are in their summer hutch now and are lounging in the sun.
