A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Yes.

Because he acts like one...he already struts around periodically. I looked up videos of it on YouTube, and yeah, young toms do do that. It's a little disturbing, in my opinion.
@Auroradream26 had a poult that strutted at a very young age which turned out to be a hen.

The behavior you are describing is dominance behavior and to be expected from a male or a female poult that is raised by itself with chicks.

If it turns out to be a tom, it will eventually start killing your chickens once it reaches sexual maturity and tries to breed the chickens.

Oh, huh...I didn't know that. I really thought it was just a male thing... I couldn't/can't really picture him growing up to be a hen now, acting the way he has.

My hen Redd strutted at less than a month and still turned out to be a hen. The two Tom's I ended up with never strutted when they were young, Redd was the only one who did.

It's been in the 50's & sunny! I think that's my girls optimal operating temperature! Daisy's been bouncing around the yard....doing her pigeon imitation. Annie's been in a dust bath most of the day sharing her crater with the two SS. Oh...the life of a loafing turkey! I've been working in the yard under their direct supervision. Friend of mine just hatch some poults here in Memphis. So tempting! But I just don't want to upset the balance of the convent.

It's no longer freezing here, so.... practically summer right? By freezing I mean above zero. We are supposed to get above actual freezing this week.

@betterthanrubies My bourbon hen strutted at two weeks, my boy... nothing. Lol
