He will most likely be fine. They are large enough owls seem to leave them alone.Boyde has started roosting outside to the horror of my daughter. I told her it's normal and to leave him be. It is normal, right?

That fence is about 7' high. I don't have any proper roosts for him and there is no cover. Should I put something sheltered up? I need the ground to thaw first of course.
Lol. Too funny. No one wants wet bombed. He will most likely be fine. They are large enough owls seem to leave them alone.
4 legged creatures would be his biggest danger. All turkeys seem to go through a roosting outside phase. I force mine in or try to. But it does not always work.
I find the biggest risk is young ones and none of them wanting to go inside in winter.
Since I moved my birds to the old machine shed, with rafters 18 ft up, they seem to like roosting indoors. All day long! It is dangerous to walk in there now for fear of being wet bombed.
I even asked them yesterday if they ever plan to go outside again.View attachment 1725761
Coons like trees, so that makes NoDak inhospitable to coons,,,Thinking of the predators here, we have mostly skunk and coyote. Never seen a coon in town, which is surprising. They were like a plague on our farm in Michigan.
Of course!Coons like trees, so that makes NoDak inhospitable to coons,,,![]()
Of course, that could mean NoDaks 2 trees are overloaded with coin though.Of course!![]()
