A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

My turkeys are being really sticking indoors. I spent nearly 2 hours fixing the bird netting over the pens. A group of 6-8 sat in the rafters watching me work.

One of them was on a ledge about 6 ft above the pens.. I had tighten 4 pens and was doing the 5th when she jumps down onto the newly tighten trampoline.. it needs to be tightened again.

Be sure to include the bouncing turkeys in your new mobile petting zoo, along with the amazing, chicken herding cat.
Should be a sell out!

So. I gave miss thang her very own digs today. I put her in my milk room. Yesterday i jus put up a piece of cattle panel where she was for temp keepin her safe. My milkin room has plenty of room to go do business when she needs, to not be scrunched up in her nest and when the poults hatch there is plenty of room for the first few days. And after that we can do like we did last year and make them a cattle panel pen or jus use the nettin that goes out of the milk room and they will be able go in and out of the sheltered part plus be locked up at night.

She settled down on them as soon as she saw the pile of eggs but ten minutes later was tryin get out of the room. I will leave her in there a few days and see if she changes her mind. :/.

Girls are dropping down in to broody positions like crazy again here. We've got Sweet Pea, Pebbles, and Lil this time around :/ Sweet Pea has not moved from her best since I have her babies other day. I have no clue how they're doing. I've been leaving a good dish right the nest with her every day

And then there's Eve, with nothing but pin feathers the back of her neck

The crazy baby rabies... looks like they got em. Lol!

Feedman...convent life seems to discourage broodiness. And egg production....apparently.

Aurora....I think they are cute all bunched up together!

SFGWife....that hen is beautiful! Hope she settles down.
How old are your girls? Well how long have you had them, wasn't one traveling the freeway?

74 here right now! Sunny too. Maybe spring has finally arrived. Raining tomorrow. Weatherdorks claiming it will be 80 Sunday. I will say....its just gorgeous down here. Trees blooming, azaleas too. Sinuses a mess tho...
And oh the humidity!

It is 50°F, overcast and the crocuses are up. We are expecting snow tomorrow.
