A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

lucky you have a tom that helps the hen brood, and hatch poults, all i have is a goose that wants to help any and all baby chicks, ducklings, and poults i have (she even tries helping the broody hens i have)... and yes i tried to let her hatch out some... but the giant black snakes just had to sniff out the fertile eggs in the nest :barnie

Really!?? This is a great tip!!! Thanks! I need to go mark a bunch of my poults now.

I forgot to grab the quote but I thought the poop shape only works if they are mature?
It works when they are little too except you will probably find a straight poop rather than a "J". Of course it isn't 100% because a plugged up hen poult can also suddenly shoot out a straight one but will normally drop a pile. It definitely does not work if the poops are watery even in adults.

I recently had a Tri-Color Mottled Black with angel wings lay down a 2" long straight poop on top of the water fount. I am saying he is a tom.

Here is the escape brigade with their leader/inspiration Cynthia. She's successfully tought these guys how to escape the pen. So if course, they do it every day lol
