A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Got a new paddock set up for the cows... had to string-trim because the grass is so tall, but now it’s, you know, raining. I hate to complain because there have been times we’ve gone literally 7 years with barely two drops in a row but this is a heckuva lot of rain if you’re in a place not really set up to handle it.

Earlier this year, it was said that there is an el nino. The last time I recall an el nino, it was a far wetter year than normal. I already have 7.3" of water not counting the January, February and March snows.

I just got back from walking to the mailbox and am still wet as the clouds opened up when I was still 150' or so from the house.

Hi everyone :)

I do believe (and hopefully with no complications) that my last chick that was stuck inside the shell with the leather membrane is going to make it.

This is what he looked like for TWO and a half days after he hatched. He would try to walk but stumbling was the only real action and part of the time, he/she just scooted on his belly.

So, I knew I had to do something, so went down to the shed and caught one of his siblings, that had hatched on June 10th. Much larger, much stronger. However, when the last chick saw him - things changed.

He's the one on the floor in this pic.

And standing in the middle of the heater plate on the last two.

What do you think? He's now eating, walking around, climbing on the plate and follows his sib wherever he goes - just to peck his feet.
