I'm with you on that, R2elk! The kids want me to carry mine 24/7. I am MORE likely to drop it in the pond or a bucket of water. If I do take it, it ends up in the carry-all on my mower and not on me anyway. And, I am always having to track it down - even inside the house.I have phones in various rooms so am not far from a phone when I am in the house. I have no need for a device that I would have to carry with me and would not be able to find if I laid it down somewhere out of the ordinary ((that would be constantly).
If I am outside, I don't have time to sit around. Way too much stuff needs taking care of.
Like Molpet, I live by myself in a rural area. If something happens to me that I can't get to the phone - by hook or crook - then it's too late anyway.I keep my cell with me outside. On the chance I have an accident & need help. I'm great at being clumsy!
Before my son started upgrading me, all my phones have been Tracfone or AT&T pay as you go. I could NOT (in a zillion years) afford the phones he buys, but right now I have an iPhone6s and a Samsung Galaxy 8 Plus - and cameras are great on both. He has no idea how much I appreciate them, but it's a pain in the butt to try and carry 24/7.I take my phone everywhere. I guess that's why the screen is cracked, the edges are all scuffed up and I'm always scraping something off of it (usually mud). But, it's just a $30 TracFone. I'd say it's holding up ok. If I ever pick up a better one, I'll probably be more careful with it and less carefree.
Years ago, I used to work piece-rate at several different sewing factories - until they were all shut down. I sewed everything from Men's dress jackets, shirts to shoes. Now, I have a cheap Brother's sewing machine and I'm lucky to sew a straight line. lol.I got my old sewing machine back from the shop! They said the timing was off on it and it needed a few adjustments. They cleaned it, oiled it, and fixed it up. It's running like a dream now. So much smoother than it's ever run for meNow that I'm used to the new machine, this one took me a few minutes to get the hang of again lol.
Some good news - for a change!
I have 4 new poults! Albeit they are the "fake" midget whites - I am so happy right now.
This is the last to hatch as of this morning.View attachment 1852917

The first one pipped around 3am on the 26th day of hatch. The last one hatched this morning around noon on the 27th day. They did not go 28 days.
There is one more egg in there that I don't know if it's good or bad. That one is supposedly a blue slate egg, so I have to give it time. If I can get the four new ones out, I may try and candle it real quick just to be sure any progress is going on. It's been way behind the others.
Now I can let my paranoia go - to the next turkey-related issue!![]()
