You must be relatively close to Fake Eilleen, she makes a huge deal out of it when she gets a couple inches.
Southies are all alike in that.
I forgot to ask you to define “cold”..

But it is a big deal to a Southie to experience anything deeper than that. And it DOES happen on occasion. View attachment 1945141 sometimes we get 8 to 10 inches at a time.
I know that is nothing compared to the depth you northern folks are used to having. ..
But it's enough to make a Southie witch scream.![]()
Well it don't happen every year. . but it has happened.i think you graph lies... when I first got out of school l lived in Mo. I spent the entire winter there.
I know Joplin never got any snow let alone 8 inches... or 12 inches whatever your confusing lying graph shows...
I don't recall having many snow days growing up. People didn't depend on the busses. They just put it in 4 wheel drive and took their kids to school. Now they call it off for any bit of weather it seems like. I also remember having no heat for several days in a row. . everyone wore their coats and bibs to school and went anyways.Ice....the worst! Here 1/2 an inch & the city turns upside down. Cold for us is anything under 40. I remember some really big snows in St. Louis when I was a kid. I have a picture of my 6'-4" dad standing hip deep in snow. I went to school with nuns. Since the convent was next door they never closed the school. It was my dad's mission to get us there! He loved it....we just wanted to stay home!
Now we understand the nunnery concept.I went to school with nuns.
