I'm starting to get eggs from my turkey hens since I turned on the lights for them 2 weeks ago so I would have birds ready for fair in August. 3 girls at least are laying so far!

currently my turkeys are still a bit young (in about 1 week they will be 5 months old), by the time spring rolls around they should be around 7 - 8 months old (and possibly a few eggs from them), i'm also eagerly awaiting the day my female mallard/rouen cross duck lays her first eggs

I think that there should be a disclaimer printed it would go something like this

Warning: turkeys welcome to the addiction. Some turkeys may identify as people and demand attention on an ongoing basis. These feathered children will turn into the feathered dogs that lay breakfast eggs and warm their ways into your heart and family.
Sorry I have a week old poult that has been screaming for the last 2 hours cuz I put it back in the brooder with. "Gasp" the birds!

This color scheme is terrible.. I may never set use to it... and I can’t find a way to make the print larger for my old eyes..
