A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

100 already this year!! OMG! Have you put the kids to work yet? I'm honestly impressed. Your becoming a force in bird wear!

Shaw....Send the hubby.

Oh yes, I put them to work lol. Here's DD hard at work drawing out patterns In the denim. She was fine at first then started complaining that it was a pain in the butt lol. I've got to build her up!

I don't have of of DS helping yet but he never seems to mind flipping them for me. He may mind me taking his picture though lol. I've been joking around with everyone about how this all decided to take off AFTER I had to go back to work! The one lady I work near in bakery is so amused by it and is always asking if I sold more tutus :lau

Here's the stack I just finished up this week. I've been working on them slowly over the past couple weeks but it's time to kick it up. There's about 130 LF and bantam here.

This is the next stack, ready to be sewn. These are the ones DD worked "so hard" at drawing out the denim (I didn't even make her cut them out lol

I've been looking around on eBay and I found a sewing machine identical to my old workhorse. I'm thinking about buying it for a good strong backup for when my usual one is getting fixed or tuned up. My backup now can handle the edge stitching fine and has cute designs but it won't stitch through the thick stuff. It takes at least 10 times as long to finish 1 saddle. DD has already begged me to let her have my old backup if I get a new one (or at least just use it lol). She likes to make hair scrunchies.

I have some ideas for future projects, if I ever get far enough ahead. I never managed to get a good version of a safety saddle together. I know i will eventually but it may be a while. I also have a bunch of this black fabric with different beer mugs and glasses all over it. My mom gave it to me after we finished my dad's quilt. I'm thinking of making some Tom bling to use it up. I don't know if anyone would buy it or not but it would be here if they wanted it :)

I think any innovative design in turkey/chicken wear will be successful! Still like the idea of something for hunting season. The beer fabric could be fun! Buying a back up machine is probably a good idea. Sounds like the old machine is a workhorse! I can only imagine what your co-workers think! LOL!

Oh anyone I tell about it gives me a very district, confused, and strange look lol. Even DH has come to recognize it!

Boy have I screwed up! A few times a week I make my self an egg, over easy, for breakfast. And I grill salmon for dinner a lot. I got in the habit of making the coonhound an egg while I'm making mine and he gets to have the crispy salmon skin. Now....EVERYTIME I get my skillet out he starts hopping around the kitchen using his outdoor voice! This dog in NOT food motivated but has decided he loves a salmon skin and his eggs over easy! If I over cook his egg he looks at me & starts barking again!!

Keep at it, he will eventually get you trained to do things his way.

beautiful day here.
Left my DD's a list of cleaning tasks to tackle while I am at work till noon. with any luck when I get home they will have handled the majority of our Saturday cleaning chores. I know not nice to make a couple teenagers Work on a Saturday morning (especially when mom isn't there to do the majority of the work) but I feel like crap and have folks coming this afternoon to pick up birds, I would hate for anyone to see how bad the brooders get on a weekly basis. besides part of the problem is its time to move almost every set of birds up to the next stage brooder...
I should be inviting boys to freezer camp this weekend( some are Long overdue) but the way I feel I will probably take a nap after the folks leave with birds. one to two jakes need an invite as well as 12-15 cockerels 16-24 weeks old... sigh maybe next weekend???
