I can see you out there with the backhoe, sifting through, cussin' and digging for those boots. One of my brothers stepped the wrong place trying to cross a stream in a swamp we were exploring in (central FL). Dad got him out somehow. He was literally up to his armpits (he wasn't very tall at the time). The boots are still there.

But think how much more interesting it would have been with the turkeys helping him to dig them out..

Turkeys started laying on st Patty's day. 4 eggs so far..16 hens
My feed guy asked if I had extra turkey eggs. I asked how many he wanted. He said last time he got 200, so that will take a staggered hatch from my flock

People are always asking how well my turkeys and chickens get along...

let me show you how these two get along..

These two have always hated each other..

And now for the photo bomb..

First is the same hen that hates that rooster sitting on my knee getting her picture taken..

Next is the goose decoy. There is an egg next to it, but it is smashed, it appears this one was dropped from the rafters by a hen too lazy to get down to lay eggs..

Lastly, we have the worlds dumbest turkey. This is the light bulb/golf ball hatcher. I did not gather eggs yesterday. Note 2 groups of four eggs next to her. 4 hens must sit next to her to lay eggs and she is too stupid to roll even one egg under her.

She hisses and makes a fuss when I pick up the eggs, but she doesn’t move or strike at me.

Just plain dumb is all she is.

Met @FredsGobblers this morning. Purchased 4 narri hens and a penciled tom. Really good looking birds.

Got 3 turkey eggs yesterday. So maybe the slackers will take the hint and pick up laying. But they mostly eat and lounge.

Have 8 turkey eggs in the incubator for the Easter Hal. Gonna set some light brahma this sat for it, and a few quail eggs.

Weather is nuts. Rainy almost 72 today. But calling for a low in the 30s with strong winds tonight.
High of 40 lows in the 20s tomorrow.

Ready for it to dry up and warm up so I can get some gardening started.

Calling for the mo river to get high. Told some farmers to get equipment off the levees.. anticipating some repairs are soft and may give way.

About starting this spring just like last spring. Will probably have a castle and moat again.

Yesterday was 52°F and sunny. Today is 28°F, overcast and at least 2* of the white sky dandruff. Of course it was and still is windy.

Yesterday the greenhouse was 94°F with the east door open, today it has just now gotten up to 49°F in there.
