We would have to see pics to know whether or not it is needed. I have never needed to trim beaks on any of my turkeys. I did have one guinea hen that could have benefited from a beak trim. Eventually she took care of it herself.

TBH Rosabelle might need a trim, but the rest of the turkalurks are fine on this end. Trying to get my folks to see reason and come back to America because if they don't, they may get stuck in Australia for up to 18 months. I don't think they want to be that long. My mom gets so stubborn! They are summoning all citizens to go home now and borders everywhere are closing. I don't mind taking care of the stuff myself, but my dad's dog will be so heartbroken.

Fred....nothing like having an audience when your turkeys act out. I'm glad the two of you aren't still trying to catch the one who escaped during hand-off! LOL! Its always an adventure.
Fred & I handed off at my sisters house both of our vehicles were parked in front of her house. Her yard folks had the driveway full of work trucks. Both of us had the backs of our vehicles open. First there was Fred's with a big cage full of big birds. Then mine with a crate full of coonhound. Fred & I were inside visiting. Outside all the walkers were drifting by. Later my sister said she must have had 10 neighbors wondering what the heck was going on in front of her house. "Oh that was just my sister handing off a few turkeys". She said no one knew they were turkeys. And when she said the dog was a coonhound....well...blank stares. My sister lives in an affluent area. She said all her neighbors were completely befuddled!

We are still in the land of really hard water here. So bathing in water is not possible other than the small puddles caused by minor thawing..

Secondly, if I tried to catch all my birds and put them on a table I would have a broken nose from the flailing of wings, be bleeding to death from sliced wrists from the ungroomed dirty sharp toenails.. and if that didn’t kill me the infection from the germs they carry because of their poor hygiene..

That is, of course, if I didn’t have a heart attack or asthma attack from the exertion of fighting them..

So, I am thinking, I will pass on the grooming tips, however, should you decide you want to come up here and teach me how it is done, that’s fine for me..

Please let me know in advance when you plan to visit, I want to have tickets printed and sold for the show. Maybe even get a TV deal for it.

LOL....sadly mine are used to getting the once over. There still is a bit of flapping going on at times. When Daisy gets a party invite she gets a bath. She actually likes the blow dryer. She'll sit down & close her eyes when I blow dry her. I can pull a wing up to get under the wings. No issues. Have to usually make her stand up so I can fluff her belly feathers.

Hey folks! I must be a turkey whisperer. Daisy got a bath the day I found her because she was covered in some kind of dried junk....mud, poop...who knows. Blossom & Marigold got baths the day after I got home with them. No problem with bathing crazy birds. Probably comes from 30 years of wrangling show dogs on the grooming table.
