A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Just for the record, it was 75 degrees here today with mostly rain. Then it snowed. :lau
It never got out of the 20’s here so

My hens have been laying a lot of eggs. Donated over 20 dozen this afternoon - sent with both of my children for their families and another 16 dozen to people who were not able to buy/find any at the local stores. It's amazing how some shelves are totally empty from where I am in MD to stores in Florida. Stores are saying if people would just stop panic buying, they could get everything restocked again.

Someone (who thought it was funny) tried to scare me about the US having Avian Flu. My research found that 3 instances occurred in North Carolina on/around the 16th of March 2020. However, the results are confusing to me. If anyone can tell me what this says, I'd appreciate it. Looks like results are incomplete due to not enough information, but I do not see where large amounts of birds were slaughtered to stop the virus. I believe these instances revolve around a commercial turkey farm.

The gal who "lost" the bourbon red jake waited an entire week to send me a message that she's now decided she wants him back. I did not respond. I've already been promised a half dozen bourbon red eggs and I'm not stopping now because someone is being "wishy-washy". I figure the real story is they decided to either eat the jake or try to sell him. Since I have had him about 2 weeks, have fed and taken care of him since then, and have it saved where she gave me the turkey - I'm covered. That said, it's really irksome when people try to do this. :he

Hope everyone is remaining well and safe. It's been quiet here.

Kids all over the place here. No school. It's like summer time with the kids loose. I've been having to stay away from them. Girls too. Daisy is not happy. She can hear them. Nothing much going on....just self isolating. Need to go to the grocery & am dreading it. Marigold is still trying to perfect hopping into my lap. She's still knocking me in the head, but is getting better!! Blossom is still sitting next to me yapping away. Or following me around yapping. She's a talker. She's sweet....and actually shuts up when I'm petting her. All my girls tilt their heads back & close their eyes when I give them a snood pet. Guessing that must feel good. They love shoulder rubs too. Listen to me...I've been conned into giving these hens back massages. They have me wrapped. Oh what the heck...they deserve a little spoiling. Right??

Can you order from a grocer who would deliver? Especially considering your circumstances? Please stick to packaged foods and wipe down the packages well, or let them sit out of the way until the surfaces are safe. (I think it's three days for plastic or one day for cardboard but don't take my word; double check. So glad you've got your gals & etc. to keep you company!
