Where are you getting them from? How many?

Do you have other birds?

I am getting 15 from welp hatchery.

I have chickens,geese, quail and ducks right now.

Are you on sand? I know there is sand and heavy soil both in that area?

You might want to ask around and see if anyone has had Blackhead?

I have 40 acres by Togo that is all sand there.

I don't think I would enjoy hearing peacocks myself. If it wasn't for the noise I would probably want them.
And I don't think people eat peacocks do they?
I would prefer to keep birds that can go in the oven if they become a major pita.

Our dirt is mainly clay. I do have sand In side of the runs but my birds free range in our hay field and sometime they like to go out in the cattle’s pasture.

You might want to think twice about raising turkeys there with chickens.

First turkeys eggs I set of the year have hatched. Set 8 hatched 5.

Of course they do. A lot don't because it is more profitable to sell them or the feathers.

Unless you're Memphis (and she is becoming questionable with all her new initiates), I'm not sure one can have "a few" turkeys, either. Turkey math is like chicken math, only with bigger birds. I have a girl sitting on a whole heap of turkey eggs. I chased her off to go eat and I dated them all. Forgot to count them.
