I had a high of 58°F today. The wind is howling down from the north bringing rain and ice pellets with it. The temperature has dropped to 32°F and is still going down.

Same here, we could get up to ten inches of snow tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for your help and information on blackhead. I plan to still get my turkeys and watch carefully since turkeys have previously been raised on my family farm. If I notice a problem then I will go from there.

I needed to get into the incubator for other reasons but as long as I had it open, I candled one random turkey egg on day 7. It is fertile and growing. I have at least one fertile turkey egg.

The weather here is the last few and next few days are gonna be nuts. Was almost 94 couple days ago. Now they are calling for severe storms. Lots of thunder and lightning right now. Followed by a cold front that's is gonna drop temps down into the 20s with wind chills in the teens. Had cherry, apple, and pear trees blooming. Would say they will be toast for the year now.

2 of my turkey hens have decided to go broody. They have 17 eggs between them. They have been setting solid hope they stay that way during this cold spell. But since those 2 went broody the rest decided to quit laying. Was getting 10 eggs a day from 14 hens. Have only gotten 4 eggs total in last 2 days. But that's fine for now as incubator has what I want to set. So turkey egg omelets for breakfast.
