A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Blossom scared me to death! She was missing at bed time. The other birds were in the coop calling for her. I was calling for her. I looked everywhere. Under every bush. Checked the yards on either side of me. I kept thinking I heard her but couldn't figure out where she was. Ran onto the house to get a flashlight. Ran back out & there she was. Strolling up from the back. I think she may have been laying an egg in the tall grass. Missing a turkey at dusk freaked me out.

I was missing my "turkey/chicken" (prefers to hang out with my chicken hens) last night. I finally decided she must be roosting way up in a pine tree and gave up. Come morning I found her in the greenhouse with the baby chicks and ducklings, crying and crying. She must have followed me in there and I didn't notice. 🤷‍♀️ I opened the door and she happily skedaddled back to her buddies. :lau

Oh....wasn't sure what this was about!!

Its sunny! My whole flock is laid out in the sun! Kicking their big feet in the air! They are loving it! Had a serious talk with Blossom. Told her to never pull that disappearing trick again. Told Daisy she needs to watch the youngsters better. I told her I was blaming her! Then I picked up Marigold and got my fill of hen hugs. Those white feathers on her head are so soft. So are her belly feathers.
