Blossom scared me to death! She was missing at bed time. The other birds were in the coop calling for her. I was calling for her. I looked everywhere. Under every bush. Checked the yards on either side of me. I kept thinking I heard her but couldn't figure out where she was. Ran onto the house to get a flashlight. Ran back out & there she was. Strolling up from the back. I think she may have been laying an egg in the tall grass. Missing a turkey at dusk freaked me out.

I was missing my "turkey/chicken" (prefers to hang out with my chicken hens) last night. I finally decided she must be roosting way up in a pine tree and gave up. Come morning I found her in the greenhouse with the baby chicks and ducklings, crying and crying. She must have followed me in there and I didn't notice. I opened the door and she happily skedaddled back to her buddies.

hows the turkeys doing ralphie!!! and u will be pleased to hear that just before buying us some ducks we decided not too.... i still want some put certain people in my fam think they would poop on our back porch.... and we would have to get some water for them.... maybe someday....

Yes, this will become the breeder's directory but isn't live yet. I just need folks to enter data in the two forms so I can finish writing the code and test it.

It is not about you being a breeder. It is about putting fake information into this temporary database so that Bob can complete his preparations and test their effectiveness for when the real database is put into use.

Oh....wasn't sure what this was about!!

Its sunny! My whole flock is laid out in the sun! Kicking their big feet in the air! They are loving it! Had a serious talk with Blossom. Told her to never pull that disappearing trick again. Told Daisy she needs to watch the youngsters better. I told her I was blaming her! Then I picked up Marigold and got my fill of hen hugs. Those white feathers on her head are so soft. So are her belly feathers.

When I went to check on the poults this morning, one was sitting on the brooder wall and another was on top of the brooder heater.

They turned two weeks old on Saturday. They are in the grow out pen now because I was too lazy to put the brooder lid on it.
