A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I haven't been very chatty lately but I have been keeping up reading. Etsy and ebay have had me hopping when I'm not at work. I just surpassed 500 saddles sold this year already :eek:I'm trying to get caught back up but wow, these orders keep coming lol

On the turkey front, I have a sick young hen. I'm thinking botulism. She is skin and bones but seems like she may be making a turn for the better. She's started eating more the past day or so, so I'm hoping she'll pull through. Or Thanksgiving Tom had become super sweet.... he loves hugs.... we may have to eat someone else lol. Pebbles is still broody. I tried giving her babies once and she stepped on a couple of them :he That girl doesn't give up though. I think that's about all that's new here right now. How everyone is doing good and getting more spring-like weather now! @memphis keep the stories coming! I love reading what your divas are up to!

Had a guy with a chain saw in the backyard yesterday. Large limb came out if a pecan tree. When he fired it up....every bird flew to the top of the coop. Went out a few minutes later and they were all roosted on the edge of the coop in one line. I didn't speak the same language as the chainsaw guy...but he kept pointing to them laughing & shaking his head.

🤣 I also love hearing what the divas are doing.
I bet that guy got a kick out of them!

Yeah....he seemed to like the turkeys. Actually, he probably thought we were nuts!

I've come to the conclusion that most people fall in love with the turkeys if they get a chance to get to know them. Especially if they hold one, or pet one. They realize how sweet they are. And how comical.

Sun is out! Not for long. Going to be raining the rest of the weekend. AGAIN!

Aurora....how is your hen??

I tried moving her back out with the flock. She's desperate for that social interaction but not very strong yet. Her back got all scratched up so I'm assuming one of the toms forced her down. It's not too bad though. I moved her to the big cage that's in the turkey coop so she can be be around everyone but still separated. Last I checked on her she was happily eating while Eve was telling her who's boss through the bars.
