A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Just placed my last 7 incubator eggs in hatcher, they are some Fall Fire x Sweetgrass cross. Wanting a few more Fall Fire for breeding next year. 3 broodies left on eggs, 1 sitting on 12 Fall Fire x Sweetgrass cross, 2 sitting on Black Winged Bronze x Sweetgrass cross. They are supposed to produce Cornish Palms. Never tried this cross before so looking forward to seeing results. Also looking forward to being done with breeding and hatching it's getting to hot and has been alot of work.
I have only ever found one image of a Cornish palm on the Internet. It was a hen and she was stunning. I can only imagine what the toms look like. Too bad they don't breed true.

Yes I have only found pic of hen also no toms but yes if they look anything like the pic of hen I saw they will be very nice looking birds. And yes wish they bread true. That's probably y you don't see them.

What type of turkeys and how many do you have?
I have about 50 adults. 35 to 40 of those I use for breeding. I have 10 different varieties, Sweetgrass, Fall Fire, Red Palms, Tri colored Penciled Palms, Blue Penciled Palms, Red Penciled Palms, Lavender Penciled Palms, Penciled Palms, Black Winged Bronze, Bronze.

WOW! That is a lot of turkeys! Do you have them on like a pasture or something? Because you would need GIANT pens for that many turkeys! I only have 11 turkeys and I think that is a lot!
