A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Have a poult develop severe bumblefoot. Took him to vet yesterday and we opened up the foot in 3 different places, and there are still other pockets of infection. Poor guy, the foot was just swollen with junk! So usually, we use Exceed ( off label) for the birds because it's so easy, but because this poult I'd 3-4 weeks old, we are going with an old fashioned sulfa drug. Little guy gets a 15 minute soak 4 times a day to help with drainage and to keep the openings we made supple so more junk can drain or be drawn out by the soak. Alternating Epsom salt and iodine soak.

Let's hope the little guy makes it. For now, he gets to live in Esther's room.

Hey guys! This is my first time incubating turkey eggs. Should I put the eggs on lockdown when there are 3 days left, or 4? I found a few sources saying different numbers so I'd like y'alls opinion! Thanks!

Not sure if baby will make it, but here is the bumblefoot today. Lots more soaking and antibiotics and possibly more draining.
