Just finished setting the first dozen eggs in incubator. Only about 9 dozen more to go

What type of setup do you have for so many poults? Especially after they are a couple of weeks old.

What type of setup do you have for so many poults? Especially after they are a couple of weeks old.

I have a building inside one of my larger pens that I use for indoor brooding. Then they are moved to outdoor grow out pens. A few pics of setup.

Then they have large open pens for raising attached to a large pasture for free ranging in. I keep my breeding stock separated by sex Hens/Toms during most of the year except for spring mating. I have many smaller breeding pens to separate by variety with 1 tom for 5 or 6 hens each pen. I use dog houses 1 in each breeding pen for their nesting boxes. Last few days was very nice, and things have dried out enough to shovel out all of the already processed feed from under most of my roosts. Have 2 pens left to do. Definitely not my favorite job but somebody has to do it and does do well in garden

Eggs are slowly increasing, but only been holding less than half for incubation of what they are laying right now do to being small from young first year layers. Some of my older hens have just started laying so should be able to hold more now.

I know there has to be something special with that egg other than being the 1st of the year.
