They just call them smoke phase.Hunters don't seem to believe me when I say that sweetgrass or fall fire is definitely not a wild mutation... *sigh*

Just like the black winged bronzes showing up near my place? They are all derived from the wild turkeys.
Sure, just like all the Red Bronze wild turkeys that show up around here dating back to when I had Bourbon Reds.Just like the black winged bronzes showing up near my place?
Those whites have a cute, delicate beauty to them. Some of my hens. I find them beautiful to admire, and most are pretty photogenic. The rusty black hen rarely stands still for photos though, and when she does, my photos always come out blurry.

Thank you. They’re some of the most beautiful birds I’ve ever owned, I’m really thankful I was able to acquire them. Their legs are honestly some of the most vibrant pink I’ve ever seen in person on a turkey’s legs, I’ve only got one other turkey besides them with a similar shade of leg vibrancy. I’m quite fond of the vibrant pink legs. Those whites have a cute, delicate beauty to them.
And what vibrant pink legs they have!
I am getting some duck eggs that are crested. How hard are those to hatch?Hmm...usually ducks aren't super tricky. Is she hatching the eggs herself and having better hatch rates? They're not crested or anything, right?
I sometimes do misting and cooling for my duck eggs, especially trickier breeds like Calls, but usually find they don't need that and I just do them like chicken eggs, aside from the longer time of course. I also use a humidity of around 30% but that can vary from place to place as to what is best.
Pretty pastel turkeys, white with pink legs and pink, white, and blue heads… (except when they’re red.)Thank you.
