Not sure. I let all of mine try to raise a brood. Not all are successful hatchers or mothers.
However I have a high predator load. I mainly eat poultry I have raised. I sometimes trade eggs or live birds for beef or pork. One year I had 21 turkey hens and traded eggs for feed along with meats.

Does anyone know of a pet carrier that would be suitable for carrying an adult turkey? Eg, if I need to take one to the vet.

They do, except that they don't fit in my car. I was hoping to find something like this, that could be adapted to fit a turkey (?)

Tape the wings, also?
No, just the legs. Taping the wings stops them from regulating their temperature.
I've hauled turkeys in the truck bed with only their legs taped for over 30 miles.
