He jumped at her as she was trying to back up, crashing into her chest and driving the air from her lungs. She landed hard on her back with him on top of her, while she was winded he tossed her into the bushes

She wriggled free. Treefeather was terrified. She went to protect the nursery, she was furious. The rage that built up in her made her sneak up on an apprentice and stun it, and she dragged it and threw it in the river.
