SwiftPaw walked into camp, a bewildered look on his face.

Jade listened from up high in an Oak. "What is the matter?" StarryNight asked, only removing her focus on the chicks for a moment. After yesterday's incident, she was not to take her eyes off of them.

"Nothing," he said quickly.

 

[BirdNut]

"I don't believe you, something is wrong. Come on, you can tell me." She replied with a soft, faint smile.

 

[duckluv]

He looked down and mumbled something quietly.

 

[BirdNut]

She picked up all five of Moonstar's and her chicks, and brought them over to SwiftPaw so that they still wouldn't leave her sight as she spoke with him. "SwiftPaw," She said, "It's okay, you can tell me. If it's something you don't want anyone else to know, I will keep it secret. But I think you need to get this off of your chest."

"I've been noticing a lot of..." He thought about how to say it, 'eyes' seemed to vague, 'creatures' didn't sound right.

 

[BirdNut]

"A lot of...?" She cocked her head just slightly, listening. StarChick sat down and copied her mother, cocking her head.

 

[duckluv]

"Birds, I think." He decided. "More birds than there used to be."

 

[BirdNut]

"Hmmm." She mumbled as she thought about it, "You think they're birds? So you're not sure? Are you talking about spying birds, trespassers, or members? Please, elaborate if you can."
