here in case you cant find it on the link. All these are illegal to trap, if your get loose better have it tagged, or you cant trap your once they get loose. In Ohio that is........

Well...my daughter claims she never let one loose. So I will be looking a bit harder now to try to see it again.

I live in michigan and we do not have wild chucker. If you have never heard a chucker in the wild by you and have never seen one or heard of anyone seeing I think its your bird. Plus when you do release them they don't really tend to wander that far anyway. Good Luck

I just looked up on the Illinois DNR site that there isn't a hunting season for chucker partridge so unless you have a game preserve near you I still think it your bird.
