Over the past couple of days, I notice this 3-month old mounting my adult hens and pecking them on the back of the neck. I purchased her at the Agway -- a gray chick that they said was an Easter Egger pullet. I suspect that it may be neither an Easter Egger nor a pullet. Do I have a roo?

He's a cockerel 🤓 Big tail feathers, big feet, all the classic signs. He is very pretty though! How is his temperament overall?

Agreed--easter egger cockerel!

He's got the pointy saddle feathers, super red comb/wattles, and red leakage on his shoulder/wing that's characteristic of a rooster.

He's a busy body -- all over the place. Protective of his brooder mates but mounts and pecks the older hens, who keep coming to each other's rescue. My first time with a cockerel, and he definitely has a different energy! Unfortunately he's not allowed in my village. Someone is supposed to come take him today for his flock.
