So I know all of you have pullets that aren't laying and many of you have at least one or more that are laying. For those of you that have some laying and some not are you feeding layer feed or grower feed or something else?

Oh no! That's a lot of birds not laying yet. How can you stand it?!?
I have to say that this thread makes me feel a bit better seeing lots of pullets not laying yet. Friends and coworkers always comment on all the eggs I'm getting and eating, not having their own chickens and not understanding I'm not getting eggs yet!
I honestly never thought t would take so long. The farmer I got my pullets from told me end of July or August I should have eggs. That wasn't the only thing he was wrong about.
I win the dud contest..
I fed 110# of feed yesterday..... think $27 down the tube...
I gathered 7 chicken eggs, 1 turkey egg and 1 toad egg....
8 eggs at around $3.50 an egg... I need around 32 bucks a dozen to break even...People really bock when I ask them for $32.....

Absolutely no nutritional reason for my dud. She gets flock raiser mixed with layer crumbles, boss, mealworms and she gets to freerange on an acre from 7 to 7. She's just a dud.![]()
