All 4 of my girls were killed last night
I am so sad.
I got a call at 5:45 this morning from my brother saying that my chickens were all dead and there were feathers everywhere. I rushed down and there they were, 4 little piles of feathers. The most shocking thing was just as I was about to open the run door a PITTBULL stuck his head out of the coop door!!!!! The killer was still in there. Inside the coop!!!!
Well after alot of discussion about just taking care of the dog ourselves we called animal control to pick it up. We didn't even want to chance going into the run because it was clearly wild.
The dog actually used its mouth to peel back the chainlink fence. You can see blood on the fencing where it went through. The way it bent the fence it could get in but not out. un
I am so sad right now, I cried and cried for my poor little chickens.
I'll post a picture later of how the dog bent the fence, I never thought a dog could do that.
Here are my girls
Gertie and Junebug
Buttercup and Daisey
