I have a couple of different strains. The Chocolates are out of Paul Witt's strain. Paul is one of my best friends; he lives about 15 miles from me. His birds have been known across the country for many many years now. Of course, everything on the place is moulting right now! The Silvers are from Billy Sumner; another good friend and long time Muscovy breeder (around 40 years).

I am trying to figure out the difference in color between blue, silver and lavender. Do you have any pics of these colors next to each other?
I have a bunch I am pretty sure are blues, but their offspring have produced some light blue colors. I'm not sure if these are silver or lavender (or something else!)

Top picture is of a Silver male; bottom picture has a Blue male. I'll see what other pictures I may have.

So would this one be a blue (the one behind the black duck)??
I have a bunch like this, some have white feathers too.

Here are some of the babies from my blue hen and drake. The ducklings in question are the ones on the far right. The one in the back is a little older than the other, but they both look the same. The yellow ones I know will be white, but what about the others? Lavender? Or will they be silver?

Here is the older one by itself

lol. The drakes fight ALL the time! They knock over waterers and anything else that gets in their way. Yeah, we keep the all together; they have the run of the place. During the day they stay on the cock-yard (woods) and in the evening they go to the pond; then back to the cock yard to sleep.
