Actually, there's kind of a sad reason for the "fix," but the happy news for me is that as soon as this hatch is over, I get to start a new one. No shutting down for the season for me, no sir!!

A friend of mine has some Runners, and they just lost their drake.

They loved that drake very much.

So they want to raise some of his offspring. The hen eggs will be fertile for about two weeks, right? So guess who gets to put the eggs in her incubator?

Man. I don't even *want* to get over the addiction. This is too good! And, I get to help out a friend.

Sweet my hatches will be over for a little while until I can watch and see which eggs are coming from my black cochin hens and blue cochin roo! good luck on your new hatch coming up!

That's awesome you are helping her. You get your hatching fix and she gets ducklings.

Besides, ducklings are so darn CUTE. How could you resist?
