A Good Old Fashion Rain Coat (Found One!)

Either google, "yellow raincoat" or "yellow rubber raincoat" or classic raincoat---I see a TON! Also, go on e-bay and type in those key words--there's some GOOD deals!!! I see them from $5 to about $30 there. Good luck!

I looked on Amazon and found these:

There is a logging supply store in Centralia Wa. called Madsen's it has all the raincoats you need. Madsen1.com I think, you can download thier catalog. They ship worldwide.

Thanks for the links but I have looked at most of those ones already. The problem is, all of those ones are extremely thin, like 30mm!! That's like a trash bag. I want the HEAVY DUTY rubbery kind, like they used to have through the 70's & 80's. Surely someone still makes them. These flimsy things rip very easily. And I want it to be knee length too, which I realize makes it harder to find.

Here is the STYLE I am looking for: big pockets, HOOD, perfect length. But this one is no good because it's paper thin. I'm just posting it because if it were thicker and more durable, it would otherwise be perfect.

Someone posted a Carhartt one which is great quality. Unfortunately, not long enough.

I refuse to get one of those cheap thin ones, they rip way too easily.

I need to find some offbeat farm/fishing supply place that actually sells the thick rubbery ones.

I had one issued to me for my crossing guard job. I'll ask where they got them. I have to say I wore my own raincoat because that one absolutely stunk. It smelled like nasty petrochemicals, but is exactly the kind of coat you describe, except with a better brim on the hood.
