Wow. Was that nessecary? I am the PROUD owner of a VERY SWEET American Pit Bull Terrier, who has never been inclined to growl at anyone, BITE anyone, or ATTACK my chicken (who free ranges while I'm outside and has been known to jump on the back of my WONDERFUL PIT! Guess what? My roo lived to see another day.
I tried to abstain from commenting- but I cannot sit idly by without speaking on my bullie's behalf.
That being said, I, too would shoot a dog if it got into the chicken coop or was attacking my chickens, be it a pit or a chihuahua, but I will not tolerate ignorance.
I also have a pitt that sleeps in the driveway with the chickens all around her, and she pays them no attention, do I watch her when they are out No, She has been taught chickens are off limits so she leaves them alone.Sometimes we're gone all day with chickens free ranging and dog asleep in back of P/U marrie
