Farmgirl1878 -- I'm sorry to hear that your hen was attacked, and glad to hear that she's recovering. Best wishes to her.
Marshmallow has gotten a lot better in the past ten days, and her wound has scabbed over well. Hopefully she'll be able to head back outside soon and rejoin the flock.
I still haven't been able to construct some kind of run for the chickens, and, sadly, the hawk returned on Friday and killed Pin, my Silver Dutch cockerel. My remaining bantams, excluding Marshmallow, are all better suited to blending in with the ground. Cinnamon is a Golden Sebright bantams, Lefty is a Mille-feuille D'Uccle bantam, and Zapraska and Kahlua are both Golden Dutch bantams.
I'll try to set something up for them soon.
