Foxstar set her cold green gaze on the Shecat.She stared at her for a very long time,"What did you do to make Ravenkit angry?"she growled, knowing that the Shekit could become, depressed, upset and frustrated very easy, committed to her past.

~Hazelpaw bravely met Foxstar's hardened gaze. "I-I mistakenly suggested that she and the older kits shouldn't encourage the brand-new kits' fighting with themselves and the almost-apprentices." She spoke quitely, hoping that her earnest answer would appease Foxstar. "I understand that it was rash of me to interfere and I should be gentler on Ravenkit especially. I just want all of the kits to be content and peaceful," the ginger apprentice added shyly.~

"If the kits were fighting, Goldentail or one of the other queens would have informed me"Foxstar growled,"It isn't a apprentices duty to be sitting around camp all day listening to the nursery and gossiping.Why weren't you out training with the other apprentices?"

~Hazelpaw heaved a massive sigh as she realized she was in such hot water, she could actually feel her paws burning. "To be fully honest, Foxstar, I wasn't even fetched by Swanfur this morning and then I-I had no idea where the other mentors were training the apprentices, so I j-just hunted around camp a little bit- uh-um, I caught a chaffinch, a mouse, and two voles so far..." Hazelpaw trailed off helplessly as she braced herself for the torrent of raging admonishment she knew would descend from Foxstar's muzzle. Oh, if only you never went to the nursery, this never would've happened, you-wish-you-had-kits!!!~

~Rage at her own obtuseness misted over Hazelpaw's blue eyes. She dropped her muzzle in the utmost respect and defeat and mewled, trying futilely to mask her own sadness, "Yes, Foxstar. I am horribly ashamed at my actions and I feel terrible to have disappointed you." Now you'll never catch up to the oh-so-great Lionstorm! she thought bitterly as she turned away and melancholily padded off to the elders' den. You'll never be the pride of DawnClan- you'll forever be the laughingstock of its kits!!!
