>~* A Howl At Midnight>~* A FORGOTTEN DOGS ROLEPLAY!

(Okay, so.
They're four packs- River, Rip, Storm, and Canyon. Rip is coyotes, Storm is wolves, Canyon is dogs, and River's a good mix.
A massive river divides the territories in half. River & Storm share a border, while Canyon & Rip share a border on the opposite side of the water.
The former Alpha of River Pack had a heart murmur nobody knew about, and after a ton of stress, she died during a freaky howling raid from Storm Pack.
The Beta of Storm Pack, Tempest, had been recently murdered by a rogue, although everybody's blaming River Pack.
Rip Pack had a trio of scheming anarchists within its ranks, and one of them kidnapped a pup from Canyon Pack.
So everybody's up in arms and hating each other, so naturally, this massive war ensues.
A bunch of canines die, it's revealed that the new River Alpha is actually half coyote, Dark Storm the Storm Alpha dies, so does Cinder the Rip Alpha, and so does the Canyon Alpha. So basically a massive leadership turnover. The coyote beta, now Rip Alpha, turns around and kills his mate's best friend in order to murder a pup to crown himself with terrified reverance. Bla Bla Bla more drama.
So, now, it's the middle of the night after the war and everybody's coming home half dead. River Pack crosses the river and this random hurricane kicks up for convenient intensity. Storm Pack is still over on the Rip Pack shore fighting amongst themselves over who's leading them home. Canyon Pack's back in camp screaming at each other for for getting to find one missing puppy and the outcasts from Rip Pack have returned with the aforementioned missing child, so everybody there is internally conflicted.
Back in River, Somebody's grandma drowns, but nobody knows it, and the dogs that are healthy enough are freaking out trying to find her. 75% of the River Pack dogs are back in their camp bleeding out their lives while they await their healer to cone to her senses that her ancient mother is, in fact, very drowned.
Basically, everything can be summed up as chaos.

Reed is Shadow's mate
and who is Shadow's friend.. if forgot...

Dust glanced back at them then snapped his head back to where he was walking They might try to kill this Shadow but.... would they kill a pup? His heart sank, perhaps this was not his best idea Great move Dust, you forsaken no-tail pet runaway. You could have just killed a mother-dog AND her pup. Idiot. "We`er almost there." He said, but his voice came out as a broken raspy sound. And now my voice won`t work. Great. That`s just great. First we march off to war, half the pack dies, the other half becomes murderers and now this. Just then they rounded a corner and found them selves standing in the middle of a wounded Canyon pack camp. He cleared his throat "Dogs of canyon pack, here is Dotpup." He said strongly, and much to his relief it didn`t come out as a rasp. He hesitated before continuing "And this is the she-dog and she-pup who betrayed their pack who wished to do Dotpup harm," He paused "These two saved her."
Shadow made eye contact with Dust as he glanced back and nodded. Her face was blank, her paws dragged in the dirt as she walked, every muscle of her (particularly her brain) overrun with exhaustion.

Dotpup puffed out her chest and did he best to look stable as her tattered pack laid emotionless eyes upon her and her unlikely allies. I'm not afraid of them, see? They may be coyotes, but look. There's no reason these individuals deserve your hostility, she silently pleaded, fiercely willing her dog allies to read the statement of alliance written oh so clearly across her set muzzle. Though her friends and family were right there before, she made no move to advance forward from Shadow's side and bury herself in their supposed protection.
Dotpup nearly gagged aloud at that thought. Canyon Pack's so-called protection was exactly what had gotten her pupnapped and her father killed.
That's when she raised her eyes to exchange a meaningful glance at the packmate closest to her. Instead of finding the relieved welcome she expected, his gaze was clearly guarded and as soon as he caught her looking, he turned away. Frowning in confusion, Dotpup turned her soundless greeting to the next dog.
She got the same response.
Along the entire row of bleeding and worn dogs, it was all the same obvious aversion. Moth, her wise and courageous unofficiated mentor, even went so far to turn her head completely away.
Dotpup shrank back, stung as if she'd clasped a bee between her paws. The motive behind their chilly fronts was perfectly clear.
They blame me.
Dotpup scrabbled backward as Stream herself pinned her darkened glare onto Dotpup's searching visage. There was bland, hopeless grief there, as well as crackling blame that sought out to jail anyone but herself. The condemnation left unspoken by the rest of them vociferously sang there, in her Alpha's shroud of letdown, all Dotpup needed to hear
They blame me for their losses.
They blame me for the war.~
Coal stood up from her resting place on Wave-lapped shore. Her keen ears had heard something besides the hushed tones of her packmates as they asked about each other's injuries. Wearily, she pulled her legs beneath her and forced herself to stand, then stumbled back up to the main part of camp.
Dotpup!
She was back!
Never had Coal felt such a flow of joy... and never had her joy been so quickly dampened.
She felt a new strength in her limbs as she shoved her way through her packmates and over to Dotpup. What would have been a grin was a look of pure, unadulterated disdain for Canyon pack as she went to her.

"Glad to have you back, short stuff," she barked warmly. "I would've come to get you myself, except-"
She glanced up and noticed Shadow for the first time. The brindle hound was watching her cautiously, her eyes glaring out at Coal and the whole pack defensively.
Coal turned her gaze to Dust, raised an eyebrow questioningly and motioned to Shadow.

(Hey you.
You no supposed to be here.

Or I would've caught up earlier. -_- )

"I suppose you are right." Kestrel spoke nonchalantly, sitting down on the cold snow-dusted pebbles. He felt the flurry turn in to lumpy rain on his head. "Why dont you go somewhere else, maybe scavenge in a ditch for roadkill or somethin."
"I suppose I'm right too," Forest growled back, irritated enough that she couldn't simply up and leave while she was ahead. Alright, so she'd instigated this unnecessary conversation. Still, he didn't have to keep talking and reiterate on just how much a simpleton he must be to insinuate that she should be the one to grovel to his wishes. For the love of marrow, I hadn't realized how horribly drastic the measures of hierarchical brainwashing has increased in recent moon. "And why don't you leave?"

"Well, i'm sorry to bother you oh so much, i didn't know my presence was so offensive." Kestrel mocked, keeping a straight face. He stood up and perked his ears, turning around towards the rushing body of water. "Go cry in your bed of moss, uncivilized rouge." And took a few steps in to the river.(#icheckedthememberpage)

Dust sighed as she stepped forward, but still, the only ones who were welcoming Dotpup were Lickpup and Coal.
"Look, I know we don`t like coyotes, but these two betrayed Rip pack to save her. One is just a pup. Come on Coal, show them we are not savages. How ever we hate it they saved her, we didn`t. We owe them." He said, but quietly so only Coal, Shadow, Duskypup, Dotpup, and Lickpup could hear.
