~ Reed slowly drifted to the back of the patrol, acting just as if he was tired. He allowed the pack to gain a large distance between him and them, then broke away in a dead sprint towards canyon pack, running as if every jailed pet in the territories were running him down. "Must.... Kidnap..... Must..... Lead...." He panted, his bright yellow eyes glowing even brighter with the thought of bloodshed.

Shadow gave a sigh of relief. "So its not just me" she murmured, as if a massive load had just been lifted off her back. She glanced at Mink. "You're a good friend" she woofed, allowing her tail a small wag.

(I am seriously considering letting you own this RP due to the fact you remember more about it than me. )
~Mink gave her a small grin back. "You're a good friend, too, Shadow," she woofed slowly, still lost in her inward contemplation of Reed's behavioural shift. Mink let her eyes wander back towards the belles den a few fox-lengths behind them, where the three pups scuffled.~

~Dotpup, with a guilty glance back at the pups' den, slunk unnoticed after the Star Howl patrol as they headed toward the beach as midnight rapidly drew near. She darted around the sparse clumps of bracken, using her lame paw wherever useful. Suddenly, Dotpup found herself falling and uttering an involuntary yip of pain. Silently cursing her lane foot, Dotpup frantically veered away from the patrol's line of sight, not wanting to be caught following.~

Shadow smiled. She glanced back at her two daughters. "I hope our pups grow up and have the same friendship we have, too" she woofed.
(This is perfect. A little heart 2 heart, get Mink and Shadow super close, before..... Mwuahahaha >:]

~Dotpup, with a guilty glance back at the pups' den, slunk unnoticed after the Star Howl patrol as they headed toward the beach as midnight rapidly drew near. Reed galloped into Canyon pack territory with the slightest hesitation. He slowed to a rapid canter, scenting the air for their camp. He slowed to a stop, parting his jaws and lifting his muzzle. He yawned, surprising himself at how relaxed he was in enemy territory, when the scent of a pup hit the back of his throat. "Yes" he hissed, growing it into as full blown battle howl.

Coal's head snapped around, every hair on her thick pelt standing on end. "Intruders!" She howled furiously, barreling towards Reed's howl.

~Mink let her tongue loll and content chased away her rising suspicions. "Me too," she woofed, letting her tail fall into a slow wag as her reassurance gathered. "Maybe some of Duskypup's concentration will someday rub off on Ms. Calamity over there." Mink couldn't suppress a pant of humor as Calamitypup yet again crashed into some innocent tree.~

~Dotpup's eyes shot wide open in white disks of fear as the unmistakable howl of a coyote descended upon her from what seemed every side. She scrabbled backwards into the hollow of a birch tree, her body wracked with the frantic pulsing of adrenaline. Oh, why, oh, why, did I ever leave camp!~

~Stream whirled on her paws as the group of Howlers began padding out onto the beach. She swung to face Coal as a howl of pure maniacal defiance reverberated across the sand. "Where?" she muttered, leaping back onto the shore in signal bound. "Where is it coming from?"~

~Mink bit down hard on her lip as Shadow's obvious anxiety radiated off of her friend and evoked Mink's own concerns once more. "Yes," Mink murmured thoughtfully, wincing at how every reference of hers seemed to be gravitating toward Reed. "Just like Reed... but not Reed."~

Reed spotted a tiny flash of movement as the scent grew stronger. He altered his course slightly, so he could grab the pup and keep running.

" I don't know, but I swear by the name of Procyon, that Rip pack HOUND will die by my jaw!" She roared, propelling herself towards the distant crashing in the undergrowth.
