Reed's head snapped around sharply, his ears pointing at River pack turf. "Storm pack, the lowly vermin" he :growled, louder than he meant to.

Shadow tensed abruptly, fear knotting in her stomach. Brindlepup and Duskypup's play ended suddenly and they stpood still, staring towards River pack. "Mama?" Duskypup whimpered nervously.
"Come here, all of you" Shadow barked sharply, standing up protectivly as if the whole of Storm pack was standing in the camp entrance.

~Dotpup squirmed in the leaves, tense and frightened at the belle's urgency, but her caution overcame her fear of the displaced howls and she shivered silently a few good fox-lengths away.~

Raksha snarled in shock, her keen yellow eyes scanning the shadows to no avail. She sidestepped closer into the shrinking band and whispered in Hawk's ear, "so that's where Storm pack was this whole time." She hissed, fear filling her voice despite her efforts to hide it.

~Midnight spun in a tight circle, making an immense effort not to pin her ears back in terror. Amber eyes flaming, she pinned a patch of bracken, wafting the scent of trespasser. "How dare you," she spat repulsively, barely audible among the eerie din. "How dare you break the laws that have bound us for thousands of moons." Another defiant voice rose, completely impudent of her admonishment. Fur enveloped Midnight, but was soon replaced by a inevitable terror as even more voices encircled her seeming-miniscule pack. "HOW DARE YOU, DARK STORM!" she shrieked, no longer caring to veil her fear. "HAVEN'T YOU DONE ENOUGH ALREADY?!?!" A ominous pain began searing through the depths of her chest.
"WAS KILLING HIM NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU?!?!"~

~Ash, hearing Water's desperate plea for an order, shrunk back as Midnight exploded, seeming to border the line of sanity. "Alpha," she whimpered, backing up, her ears pinned not in fear of Storm Pack, but her own Alpha. She pivoted on her heels, and hurried over to Birch. "You've got to do something," she hissed, the light of desperation flaring in her eyes. "Midnight's gone mad."~
