~Mink bit down hard on her lip as Shadow's obvious anxiety radiated off of her friend and evoked Mink's own concerns once more. "Yes," Mink murmured thoughtfully, wincing at how every reference of hers seemed to be gravitating toward Reed. "Just like Reed... but not Reed."~

"Stronger than Reed's ambition." Shadow realized. "She has always adored him, and he her. They really are a lot alike." Shadow murmured.

~Mink nodded thoughtfully. "And Duskypup obviously takes after you," she realized cheerfully, her gaze gravitating to her own pup once more. "I wonder where Calamitypup got her character from- her father, I suppose." Mink trailed off as a small frown appeared on her muzzle. "He could've been considered humorous."~

Reed spotted a tiny flash of movement as the scent grew stronger. He altered his course slightly, so he could grab the pup and keep running.

" I don't know, but I swear by the name of Procyon, that Rip pack HOUND will die by my jaw!" She roared, propelling herself towards the distant crashing in the undergrowth.

~Dotpup plastered herself even farther against the trunk and prepared herself for some inevitable doom as a massive shape barreled toward her. Oh, Dad, I'm sorry I left camp..~

~Stream bolted after her, signalling with her tail for some of the other dogs to flank them in an attack fleet. Her thoughts and concentration whirled, temporarily unable to pinpoint the intruder's location, so, against better judgement, she bolted after the rage-inhibited Coal.~

Shadow chuckled. "I suppose, although I never once thought f myself as the serious type" she woofed.
She paused thoughtfully. "Well I don't know who her father was, but I'd say she gets her constant happiness from you" she barked, standing up and moving closer to Mink

~Dotpup plastered herself even farther against the trunk and prepared herself for some inevitable doom as a massive shape barreled toward her. Oh, Dad, I'm sorry I left camp..~

Reed howled, long and loud, as he bore down on the terrified pup cowering before him. He opened his jaws in a wide, maniacal grin, baring his teeth before he sank them into the pupos scruff.
He swerved sharply, and without slowing down, galloped back to his own territory, the pup banging against his lregs with each stride.

Coal sprang out from behind the grove of birch trees. She took one quick breath and her heart plummeted into a pit of fear. "Dotpup!" She shrieked, fear making her run father than she ever had before."i have the advantage " she told herself. "He's been running this whilst time, I havent. And he's got the weight of...." She couldn't finish the thought. Couldn't bear it. "You. Will. Die!!!" She roared after the intruder, completely oblivious to the dogs running behind her.

~A trickle of blood ran down Dotpup's scruff as the massive coyote seized her brutally and raced away, his teeth boring deep into her skin in order to maintain a full hold. Afraid to even whimper in the fear that he could effortlessly kill her in a heartbeat, Dotpup curled her legs against her chest as she swung painfully from his jaws. Familar roars of utter rage echoed behind them, which Dotpup meekly recognized as Coal's. You've saved me once-
Please don't kill yourself trying again.~

~Stream barreled after Coal, but not nearly having the head that Coal had gained when channeling her rage. "Coal!" Stream barked, her legs thrumming as fast as possible, yet still not fast enough. "You'll never make it- he's almost to the border!"~

"If you're not serious, I doubt Sirius is serious," she panted, trying to make light of the intensifying atmosphere of distrust that Shadow now held against her mate. She pulled back thoughtfully, her nose twitching. "Maybe so. Hopefully so," Mink added slowly, her dark eyes shining in contrast against her shadowed pelt.~

(Heads up, he's going to drop Dotpup off at camp, lie to Mink and ask her to take care of her for him. )

Coal forced away the trickle of despair that seeped into her mind, replacing it with rebellion. "NO!" She howled, not wasting any more breath with speech.

Shadow laughed relaxedly. "I'm not THAT serious, am I?" She barked. She sighed happily, then allowed curiousity to come into play. "Was her father.... Dark?" She woofed, keeping jher tone just gentle enough that she didn't sound pushy.

~Dotpup let out a tiny whimper of crushed hope when the black male coyote effortlessly cleared the border and hurdled into what appeared to be Rip Pack territory.~

~Stream let her paws slide to a skidding halt and she pivoted neatly in the dirt as the fugitive faded into the darkness. "Coal," she murmured, getting back to her paws and racing up alongside the she-wolf as she seemed to be preparing to give chase into Rip Pack territory. She let out a low rumble of resounding defiance that tumbled across the border. "They'll be waiting to attack us if we go on their land."~
