Oh snap I never refreshed the page(River)
Cave laid in her sodden nest, knowing that it wasn't doing her any good yet too tired to make herself stand. A long sigh escaped her, and she shivered.
Voices outside the den eventually boosted her desire to get up, and she stood shakily to her feet, favoring her left foreleg. She gave the short, yet deep gash a few tentative licks, then limped outside on three legs.
She made her way over and sat down beside Raksha, who turned and nodded in greeting. While she sat, waiting, she made the mistake of closing her eyes. Next thing she knew, Raksha was nudging her back to her feet. Crystal had appeared by her side as well.
"You go find a dry spot and get some sleep, kid," Raksha barked gently. "There'll be more patrols." She had a faintly humored, yet sympathetic expression that gave Cave a small window into Raksha's rarely seen soft side. Her golden eyes, that Cave usually found creepy, seemed almost... Motherly.
Reluctantly, she turned to Crystal and allowed herself to be herded to a spot where the sun was beginning to dry the ground. She looked over at her sister. "I..." she began. Her voice caught and her throat tightened. "I..."
Crystal blinked. She stepped closer to Cave, shyly keeping her head low. "What is it?" She asked worriedly. She tried to relax herself and sat down, nudging against her sister's neck.
