A late hatch

Oh I'm so sorry. But as I've seen, a cracked shell isn't the problem. It's the membrane. Break the membrane and it's a goner. Sorry I was a little late with that information and my two are still taking their precious time. Absolutely nothing as of now little brats

I really do hope they make it and I'll let them take as much time as they need to try and make it. I'm doing what I can for the little ones

Also another little side note- with me even if the egg cracks in whatever way I still try with them

I went to go check on the poor babies and they were freezing! The temp went down to 26.4 C

Thank you... I saw a little goo (for lack of a better word) seeping out so I went ahead and tried to see if I could make an air hole. Stupid me should have just left it alone. Hopefully your little brats will do well even though they're attached to being cozy in the shell. My two that hatched yesterday are fluffed up and full of spunk today!

That's great! You'll have to keep sending me pictures of them and tell me fun stories. And that goes for any of your chickens

I would advise to cease candling from now on and just be patient, every time you open the bator to candle the humidity drops and that can cause issues like sticky chick and shrink wrapping during hatching. Hope all goes well, sounds like they should be fine, temp drops are probably the cause of the delay, but try not to open the incubator and keep yourself busy so youre not tempted :)

That's the only temp drop that's happened. I freaked out. I want them to be out so bad and every day I think they die. Drives me crazy with worry that they aren't out yet.

Well the final report is no survivors. They made it all the way to day 30 and final gave in. My poor babies. In one final attempt I opened the eggs to see, and by then they were gone but one was a beautiful golden color and the other black and dark brown. The black one was missing one eye. It was so strange. The other was there and mostly closed like a normal diseased chicken but the other was caved in. The other chick started bleeding fairly heavy when I was burying her. The clearly wasn't breathing or moving though but now that will haunt me. I feel like I buried a live chick

No need to be! You live and you learn. They were my test batch that I used to mess with the settings and hope I got right. I did get another thermometer and an actual hydrometer so I can be sure of the calibration for that
