A little embarrassing, but how can I get my drake to stop trying to “mate” me?????????

Hey everyone!!

I have an embarrassing problem here… my Call drake, Bruce, keeps trying to mate me!!! I have NEVER had this happen before!! When my drakes become sexually mature they always find the girls… except this time apparently. :/ Bruce does have a hen, but he acts like he doesn’t know how to mate with her. I’m extremely confused here… what can I do to stop him? I have tried kicking him, pushing him away, etc., but he is absolutely relentless!!! Thank you in advance for your replies!!

My rooster used to do this. Until he found upturned bowls... Or twigs.... He loved them!

I turn the hose on my Muscovy drake . That makes him leave me alone. I just don't hit him in the face with it because I don't want him inhaling water. Tossing him in the pool works too.

Lord have mercy! I had a similar problem except my rooster did not want to mate...He wanted to fight! So I reminded him that I own him!

I turn the hose on my Muscovy drake . That makes him leave me alone. I just don't hit him in the face with it because I don't want him inhaling water. Tossing him in the pool works too.

I would turn a hose on or throw him in the pool, but he gets out of his pen all the time and he try’s it when I’m in the backyard as my walking and my backyard doesn’t have a hose or pool!

carry a bucket of water with you and dump it on him. May not work but it might if you surprise him. Or a spray bottle with water in it give him a good squirt. if you can pick him up carry him to the pool. I have to carry my Muscovy drake to the pool. Once I toss him in he starts bathing and forgets all about me. lol

I have a similar problem with my Silkie rooster. He likes to mate my boots.
I usually just push him (gently as I can) away, or pick him up. He has a flock of 16-isn't that enough?
